Koi Purchases and Returns Policy

General Koi Purchasing Terms & Conditions 

All Koi undergo our strict 6 - 8 week double heat ramp quarantine procedure.

Koi under £500 must be paid for in full, over £500 then you may leave a 50% deposit. Balance payable upon collection of said koi.

1st November to 31st March - From the date of purchase, your Koi can stay at Niwa Nishikigoi Ltd, until April 1st. After the 1st of April the koi must be collected or a fee may be incurred. 

We will not be responsible for the quality decline of the koi under our care. Just as we will not charge more if the quality improves under our care. So please make sure you are happy with it on purchase. 

Your statutory rights are not affected.

If death does occur under our care, we will issue a shop credit.

Genders are not guaranteed (unless specified i.e. Female guarantee).

If a Female guarantee Koi is later to be found out male, you will receive shop credit and get to keep the male koi!

Due to biosecurity, under no circumstances can Koi be returned.

Koi Returns Policy

Once koi have left our premises, we cannot accept any responsibility for it thereafter.

Koi cannot be returned to Niwa Nishikigoi due to our strict Bio-Secure premises.

However, we will work with you to help and understand the issue and find a resolution. 

In the unfortunate circumstance of death, again, we will work with you to find a solution.

We shall not be liable for injury and/or quality decline of the Koi during keeping. If death occurs, you'll receive a shop credit.

Once out of quarantine, and you simply do like the Koi upon viewing i.e. it differs greatly to the images/video it was purchased from. You may exchange for another koi at the same value or greater.

Genders are not guaranteed, unless specified as “Female guarantee”

If a Female guarantee Koi is later to be found out male, you will receive shop credit and get to keep the male koi!

Under no circumstances can Live Koi be returned, this is due to biosecurity laws we abide by. For defective or damaged products, please contact us at the contact details below to arrange a refund or exchange.

Any koi purchased in Japan in person or special order are non refundable under any circumstances. Koi left azukari, or in custody of the breeder, are entirely at your risk unless specifically agreed between yourself and the breeder, usually limited to guarantee of gender or life. Growth or any change in pattern are excluded.
